4/13 Tuesday

TODAY
* We read Lon and Ron to Miss Jessica and did a fantastic job!  We put it in our reading envelopes.


* We read Jog, Frog, Jog.


* Miss Jessica tried to trick us with these 4 word families we have practiced in our stories:

* We read our new story Tadpole to Frog.  These are the words:
Tadpole to Frog
Here is some water.
Here are some eggs.


This is a tadpole.


Here come his legs!


His tail gets little.
His body gets plump.


Soon he's a frog.
Look at him jump!


Where does he go?
Into water, on logs.


We like to see tadpoles turn into frogs!


* We practiced our spelling words.  We sorted them by words that have "ou" and words that do not have "ou".


* We practiced reading and writing these plural and singular question and answer sentences:
What are these?
They are CDs.


What is this?
It is a cell phone.


What are these?
They are computers.


What is this?
It is a video game.


What is this?
This is a pencil case.


What is this?
This is a video game.


What are these?
They are CDs.


* We continued our Dd letter study.  We sorted pictures and words by those that begin with Dd and those that do not begin with Dd.


We identified these 6 words that begin with Dd:
1. dog
2. doors
3. dime
4. desk
5. doll
6. duck
 
We identified these 2 words that do not begin with Dd:
1. lemon
2. goat










HOMEWORK
* Read Lon and Ron, Jog, Frog, Jog and Tadpole to Frog.


* Read and spell the -ick, -ish, -ock, and -og words above.


* Complete the spelling words homework paper I am sending home and return it to school tomorrow in your backpack envelope.  Our spelling test will be Thursday!


* Read the singular and plural question and answer sentences above.


* Read and spell the 6 words above that begin with Dd and the 2 words above that do not begin with Dd.
