4/20 Tuesday

TODAY
* We read Tadpole to Frog.


* We read our new story The Pots on the Top.  These are the words:
The Pots on the Top
Come to Mom and Pop!
Stop by and eat!
See what they have!


Mom can make hot dogs.
Mom can make carrots.
But where are the pots?


Pop is looking.
He sees the pots.
They are on the top.


Can Pop get the pots?
He is going up to them.


The dog jogs by.
He hops on the ladder.


The dog is rocking Pop!
Pop is rocking the pots!


Mom got the pots.
Pop got the mop!


We found which of our spelling words (going, got, looking) are in the story.


* We sorted our spelling words by the number of letters in each word and practiced using them in sentences.


* We completed our Nn letter study!


* We practiced using this question and answer structure:
What color are these?
They're (color).
They're (color) (shapes).


We practiced with these 7 examples:

They're pink.
They're pink circles.

They're yellow.
They're yellow diamonds.

Ten!

HOMEWORK
* Read Tadpole to Frog and The Pots on the Top.


* Complete your spelling words homework paper.  Our spelling test will be Thursday!


* I am sending home our Nn packet.  Please keep it at home and use it to practice and study the letters, pictures, sounds and words.


* Read the 7 "What color are these?" questions and answers above.


* Read/Sing the song "What's This?"; the words are above.
