TODAY
* These are our 3 calendar sentences:
1. Yesterday was Tuesday, April 6, 2010.
2. Today is Wednesday, April 7, 2010.
3. Tomorrow will be Thursday, April 8, 2010.
We can write today's date this way: 4/7/10.


* We read How Many Fish? and we reviewed the words fish, wish, dash, lost, swim and its.


* We read our new story Lon and Ron.  These are the words:
Lon and Ron
This is Bob.
Will Bob get Lon and Ron?


Lon and Ron have pots.
They have water in the pots.


Bob does not get Lon and Ron.


The pigs get big rocks.
They get three big locks.


Will Bob get Lon and Ron?


The pigs see Bob hop.
Will Bob get Lon and Ron?


He does not!


* We practiced our spelling words and sorted our spelling words by those that have the letter w and those that do not have the letter w.


* We continued to work with singular (1) and plural (more than 1).


For singular items, we can use these sentences:

It's...
examples:
It is a computer.
It's a computer.


For plural items, we can use these sentences:
They are...
They're...
examples:
They are computers.
They're computers.


* We completed these pages:
Phonics Level K pages 81 and 82










HOMEWORK
* Read the 3 calendar sentences above.


* Read How Many Fish? and the review words above.


* Read Lon and Ron (words above).


* Read the "It is..."/"It's..." and "They are..."/"They're..." sentences above and make your own sentences.


* Our spelling test will be tomorrow!
