TODAY
* We read Sweet Potato Pie.

* We read A Pet on a Jet.  We reviewed the 3 types of ending punctuation:
1. period (.): Nell has a pet.
2. question mark (?): Who can help Nell?
3. exclamation point (!): Now up we go!

* We began our Vv letter study.
These pictures and words begin with Vv:
1. violin
2. vase
3. van
4. vacuum
5. vegetables
6. valentine
7. vest
8. vine

These pictures and words do not begin with Vv:
1. popcorn
2. queen
3. question mark
4. parrot
5. teeth
6. pencil

* We worked on these 8 opposites:
tall / short


young / old


pretty / ugly


thin / fat

We used them in sentences with He is / He's and She is / She's such as:
He's tall.
She's short.
He is short.
She is pretty.
He is thin.
She is young.

HOMEWORK

* Read A Pet on a Jet and read the 3 sentences above and identify the ending punctuation.

* Read and spell the words above that do and do not begin with Vv.
