TODAY
* These are our 3 calendar sentences:
1. Yesterday was Sunday, February 21, 2010.
2. Today is Monday, February 22, 2010.
3. Tomorrow will be Tuesday, February 23, 2010.


* We worked on our counting, numbers, and number words 0-20.


* We continued working with the letter Hh.  We sorted words by those that begin with Hh and those that do not begin with Hh.


We identified these 11 words that begin with Hh:
1. house
2. hippopotamus
3. hat
4. heart
5. hose
6. hug
7. hammer
8. horse
9. hay
10. hen
11. hook


We identified these 6 words that do not begin with Hh:
1. bed
2. sink
3. table
4. box
5. ladder
6. bear


* We practiced spelling our 10 spelling words and finding them on the alphabet word wall.


* Mr. Tim came to visit our class today.  We read the stories Oh, Cats! and What Pam Can Do for him and he read us part of our book Put Me in the Zoo by Robert Lopshire.  We showed him the front cover, the back cover and the spine of the book.  He helped us with our rhyming words in the book!  (Thank you, Mr. Tim!)

* I am sending home a spelling words handwriting paper.  Please complete it and return it tomorrow in you backpack envelope.

* Your spelling test will be Wednesday!
