* These are our 3 calendar sentences:
1. Yesterday was Monday, February 8, 2010.
2. Today is Tuesday, February 9, 2010.
3. Tomorrow will be Wednesday, February 10, 2010.


* We read our story The Nap.  We worked on answering questions about the story and on rhyming words.


* We practiced our 10 spelling words.  We are very good at finding all 10 of them in our story The Nap.


* We started focusing on the letter Bb.  We reviewed what sound it makes and how to write upper-case B and lower-case b.  


* We continued working on our numbers 1-10.  We worked on the number words, counting, and writing the numbers.

* I sent home a spelling word homework paper.  We went over how to do it in class.  In the first part, circle the spelling word that is spelled correctly.  In the second part, write the words using good handwriting and starting at the dots.  Please complete it and return it to school tomorrow in your backpack envelope.


* I also sent home the Tt packet.  Please keep it at home and practice the letters, pictures and words.


* Read the 3 calendar sentences above.


* Read The Nap (posted Sunday).


* Reminder: Our first spelling test will be Thursday!
